Palomino Enterprises was established in Bryan, Texas, in 1982 as a Sole Proprietorship, by Patsy M. Graham. Its original mission was to invest in real estate and stock market investments, which it did for 11years in the Bryan/College Station area.
In 1993 Ms. Graham returned to Houston and settled in the City of West University Place. Palomino Enterprises continued its original mission until 2004, when new home construction was added to its ventures. The vision was to build efficient yet beautiful homes that incorporated green building and outdoor living space.
Palomino Enterprises became a Limited Liability Corporation in 2005. Palomino Homes, a division of Palomino Enterprises, LLC builds new homes. Chez Poulet, a division of Palomino Enterprises, LLC, builds urban coops for backyard poultry enthusiasts.
Palomino Enterprises offers custom houses and remodeling, as well as custom urban chicken coops.
In early 2008 Patsy Graham’s daughter Sarah bought some acreage in Elgin, Texas. Both Patsy and Sarah were interested in straw bale homes, which are emerging rapidly in central Texas. Sarah and Brent, her boyfriend (now her husband) drew a sketch on grid paper of the floor plan and they and Karl designed a house in Sketchup. Karl educated himself on the construction methods and found local subcontractors that had experience with straw bale walls and texturing. It was quite a learning experience for all of us but the result is an absolutely gorgeous, warm and homey energy-efficient house. Karl designed the spectacular kitchen, as he does with all our homes. Sarah and Brent have been happily living in their home for almost 3 years now.
